Job Title: Contract Paralegal (Part-Time) at 4th Avenue Jail

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in reviewing their discovery materials, which include bodycam videos of police officers and recorded statements of witnesses.
- Provide emotional support to clients, primarily Black and Hispanic, who are enduring challenging conditions in the 4th Avenue Jail.
- Schedule 25 hours per week, choosing days from Monday through Friday, to ensure all clients incarcerated at the jail are seen promptly.
- Limit visits with individual clients to a maximum of hours to accommodate all clients each week.
- Reserve a legal room for visits by scheduling a week or more in advance, or visit clients in their pods using a legal room separated by a plastic security screen.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.

Education and Experience Information:
- Entry-level position; previous experience in trial preparation is beneficial.
- No prior felony convictions are allowed for this position.

Salary Information:
- Pay starts from per hour.
- The position is part-time and contract-based, with expected working hours not exceeding 25 per week.
- Potential for increased responsibilities and corresponding pay increases based on performance.

Additional Information:
- The job requires in-person work at the 4th Avenue Jail in Phoenix, AZ.
