KPMG is currently seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice in New York, NY; Short Hills, NJ; or Stamford, CT. Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of clients and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
• Direct teams of tax professionals/assistants working on client projects
• Understand and analyze . GAAP rules affecting the taxpayer
• Help manage risk and financial performance of engagements
• Advise clients and deliver high-quality tax service and advice
• Assess tax impact on clients, develop tax arguments and suggest plans
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:
• Participate in and contribute to market and business activities
• Act as a coach and mentor to other tax professionals
Qualifications:
• Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience in the financial services industry supporting alternative investments
• Bachelor's degree and licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA
• Proficiency in the taxation of corporations, partnerships, and other flow-through entities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:
• Minimum eight years of recent experience as a tax senior manager
• Solid skills in reviewing 1120 RIC and 1065 tax returns
• Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
