Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

The Business Intelligence Analyst at the law firm plays a crucial role in supporting the organization’s leadership, timekeepers, and various departments by providing financial reporting, analysis, and insights that drive business decisions. The Analyst collaborates closely with the Director of Data and Analytics to develop content and interpret financial data. Key responsibilities include:

- Designing, developing, and updating various reporting assets, such as dashboards and reports, for different departments within the firm.
- Providing analysis to decision-makers, including individual partners, teams of partners, or managers, to offer financial insights and discuss underlying dynamics affecting financial performance.
- Monitoring and evaluating data sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Coordinating with users to respond to data inquiries and providing ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
- Documenting and maintaining documentation regarding dashboards, reports, and the financial glossary.
- Performing other duties as assigned to support the firm's data and analytics needs.

Education and Experience Information:

To qualify for the position of Business Intelligence Analyst at the law firm, candidates must possess the following education and experience:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management from an accredited college or university is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and report development is necessary.
- Previous experience working with the Aderant financial system is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging Excel for data analysis and a strong command of SQL for querying databases.
- Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Power BI and SSRS to create insightful and compelling reports and dashboards.
- Clear and effective communication skills are essential to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical users.
- Attention to detail in data analysis and reporting is required.
- An understanding of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with R and Python programming is advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure are desirable.

Salary Information:

This is a remote role, and the salary range for the Business Intelligence Analyst position at the law firm varies depending on geographic location, experience, internal equity, market data, and job-related considerations. The salary range for this position is from $82,200 to $150,000. Offers are contingent upon various factors, and the firm’s compensation strategy includes not just a base salary but also comprehensive benefits.
