Job Title: Tax Senior Manager - Tax Analysis & Debt Investments

Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Manager in the Tax Analysis & Debt Investments group, you will be tasked with several key responsibilities that are essential for managing and executing tax-related activities for clients with significant debt investments. Your role will involve:
- Managing relationships with clients and ensuring timely reporting of project milestones and dependencies.
- Monitoring risks and issues to escalate appropriately and executing day-to-day management activities.
- Overseeing asset-level diligence and analysis on debt investments, including the preparation and/or review of debt taxable income calculations and reports.
- Communicating with clients, their servicers, and/or administrators, and leading client resources.
- Calculating and/or reviewing taxable income on debt investments, such as Original Issue Discount (OID), market discount, premium, gain/loss, tax basis, and other items using proprietary software and tools.
- Researching asset-level debt origination terms for corporate bond portfolios, mortgage-backed security portfolios, and mortgage loan pools using proprietary software, third-party data providers, and credit agreements.
- Leading client engagements by communicating with clients, managing and supporting team professionals, developing a game plan to execute on client engagements, and reviewing deliverables.
- Performing tax research to address technical issues related to debt investment transactions and training younger professionals on applicable technical issues.
- Developing requirements for system enhancements and ongoing testing of system calculations, processes, and reporting.
- Supporting the pursuit of new client opportunities through the review of prospective client debt holdings, development of marketing decks, and analysis of industry public filings.
- Working within a team and supporting and mentoring junior staff.

Education and Experience Information:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, MIS, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of full-time professional experience.
- Practical knowledge in fixed income financial products, income tax principles, debt instruments, and/or project management.
- Big 4 experience or equivalent professional background.
- Experience in data analytics and solid technology skills.
- One of the following active accreditations:
- Licensed CPA in the State of Practice/Primary Office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- Licensed Attorney or Enrolled Agent if not CPA eligible.
- Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA).
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work and clients served.

Preferred qualifications include:
- An advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, LLM, or another applicable field.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience serving clients or directly working within the financial services industry.
- Solid experience in financial system design and implementation.
- A background in financial portfolio review, regulatory reporting, and bond administration.

Salary Information:
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City, the company is required by law to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The compensation range specific to New York City takes into account a variety of factors, including skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $152,530 to $347,230. Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, where an award, if any, depends on various factors including individual and organizational performance.
