The **Members Only**, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Public Defender to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the dynamic and fast-paced environment of public defense, serving the citizens of the 19th Judicial Circuit in Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for representing indigent clients in criminal proceedings, ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, and providing legal advice and counsel to clients. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney and be a member in good standing with The Florida Bar. A strong background in criminal defense is preferred, and experience in public defense is highly desirable. The ability to handle a high volume caseload and work efficiently under pressure is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Represent indigent clients in criminal proceedings, including misdemeanors and felonies
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents

Qualifications:
