Job Title: Senior Associate – Employee Benefits
Experience Information:
- Minimum of seven years of experience in employee benefits law and ERISA
- Experience with qualified retirement plans, including defined benefit and defined contribution/401(k) plans
- Experience with multiemployer plans, multiple employer plans, cash balance, and/or 403(b) plans is a plus
- Experience advising on plan structures, tax qualification requirements, fiduciary duties, plan funding and investments, and benefits in the context of mergers and acquisitions/downsizing
- Prior substantial experience drafting and reviewing qualified retirement plan documents
- Strong research and analytical skills

H2: Job Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on employee benefits matters, specifically related to qualified retirement plans
- Draft and review qualified retirement plan documents and amendments
- Advise on plan corrections, governance, benefit claims, participant communications, and service provider agreements
- Stay current on changes in tax-qualification requirements and provide guidance on compliance
- Conduct research and analysis on complex employee benefits issues and provide actionable advice to clients
