Salary: $163,725-$272,875/year
The VP, Associate General Counsel- Litigation and Arbitration will be responsible for providing in-house legal services and advice, with a primary focus on defending the firm and its Financial Professionals in FINRA arbitrations and litigation matters. This individual will also manage a docket of cases handled by outside counsel.
Responsibilities include defending litigation and arbitration matters, evaluating legal and regulatory risk, reporting and logging case-related data, and advising internal business partners on risk areas and legal guidance. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school, be a licensed member in good standing of the state bar, and have at least 7-8 years of arbitration/litigation experience.
The core competencies for this role include clear and effective communication abilities, strong strategic and dispute resolution skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other litigation-related data systems. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of the FINRA Dispute Resolution Code of Arbitration Procedure, federal and state securities laws, and experience with investment products and services.
