This role involves working with high-profile clients to understand, analyze, and respond to complex business opportunities and challenges.
- Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Forms 1099 and 1042-S
- Lead projects related to IRW compliance, including review and validation of Forms W-8/W-9
- Provide consulting on operational tax functions and IRW requirements
- Collaborate with clients to resolve compliance issues and conduct withholding agent diagnostic reviews
- Assist clients in evaluating their compliance with withholding responsibilities
- Stay informed on IRS regulations and guidelines related to IRW
- Conduct internal IRW compliance training sessions and collaborate with cross-functional teams for comprehensive compliance strategies
- Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of recent experience in a relevant role
- Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, MTX, MBA, PMP or CBAP preferred
- Demonstrated experience with Forms 1099 and 1042-S and strong understanding of operational tax functions in the IRW context
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Alteryx, databases, SharePoint, VBA, or Java preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
