Position Overview:
- Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President & Counsel
- Focus on derivatives, trading, and capital markets
- Deep understanding of OTC, listed, and centrally-cleared derivative transactions
- Strong background in forward and financing transactions, including repurchase agreements
- Play a pivotal role in implementing global derivatives regulations
- Responsible for providing legal guidance on complex transactions
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on OTC, listed, and centrally-cleared derivative transactions
- Negotiate and draft master agreements (ISDA Master Agreement, Credit Support Annex, Master Repurchase Agreement, etc.)
- Assist in the oversight and management of derivatives regulatory implementation projects
- Negotiate and manage relationships with global counterparties
- Interface with various internal teams and external stakeholders
- Address derivatives or trading-related inquiries
- Coordinate complex projects involving multiple business groups and . offices
- Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of seniority
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a leading asset manager, law firm, or broker-dealer
- Comprehensive understanding of trading agreements across all asset classes
- In-depth knowledge of CFTC and SEC derivatives regulations
- Expertise in counterparty risk management and documentation architecture of equity, credit, and commodity derivatives
- Familiarity with ERISA and the Investment Company Act of 1940
- Proven leadership skills

Compensation:
- Total compensation approach including base salary and discretionary bonus
- Base salary determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors
- Discretionary bonus used to reward performance based on company, business, team, and individual performance
- Salary range: $175, - $240,
