Overview:

- The Managing Legal Counsel position is part of the Corporate Performance & ESG division and will support the TeamMate business unit globally and CCH Tagetik and Corporate Tax software businesses in North America.
- This is a hybrid role, with the option to work remotely for 8 days per month, and preferred office locations in New York, Chicago, Tampa, and Atlanta.
- The successful candidate will have a . or equivalent law degree from an internationally recognized institution, with a minimum of 8-10 years of corporate/commercial legal experience.
- The target salary range for this position is $159,900 - $260,050, depending on location.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal assistance in structuring and drafting, negotiating, interpreting, managing, and enforcing complex commercial transactions.
- Work closely with management and sales leaders to provide legal counseling on corporate, commercial, and intellectual property matters, including SaaS, software license, and professional service offerings, as well as regulatory, compliance, and dispute matters.
- Develop a strong rapport with local sales teams to drive the delivery of effective legal services and ensure consistency across Wolters Kluwer businesses.
- Stay informed on industry trends and provide high-level legal and commercial advice to the business.
- Manage outside counsel and work with other attorneys within the Global Law and Compliance Department as needed.

Requirements:
- . or equivalent law degree from an internationally recognized institution.
- 8-10 years of corporate/commercial legal experience, preferably with both a multinational law firm and corporate law department.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, with a strong understanding of SaaS agreements, software transactions, and e-commerce.
- Knowledge of financial products and data privacy/protection is preferred.
- Strong academic and work credentials, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work well with senior management teams.
- Experience conducting negotiations in a global, matrixed environment and managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to lead and manage direct reports.
- Strong ethics and respect for confidentiality.
- Confidence to push for change and challenge the status quo.
