Job Title: Director of Compliance and Contract Management
Job Responsibilities:
The Director of Compliance and Contract Management is responsible for coordinating the compliance and contract management programs at a reputed firm. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulatory and accreditation requirements related to university operations, including academic programs in all modalities. The Director's duties encompass:
- Conducting internal investigations, such as those related to harassment or discrimination allegations, under the guidance of the EO/Title IX/ADA Coordinator or General Counsel, and investigating law or university policy violations under the Chief HR Officer, Associate VP for HR, or General Counsel.
- Overseeing compliance areas including Department of Education (DOE), IRS, approving and accrediting agencies, mandated reporters, research grants, Institutional Review Board (IRB), NCAA, student accounts and student financial aid, real estate, privacy laws, and other areas.
- Coordinating with campus partners to mitigate compliance risks.
- Executing contract review and approval on behalf of the university.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, while a master’s degree or JD is preferred.
- A minimum of two to five years of compliance experience and progressive leadership responsibilities in an academic, research, or other complex compliance environment is necessary.
- Candidates should possess working knowledge or experience with FERPA, laws relating to harassment and discrimination, the Clery Act, NCAA, financial aid, conflicts of interest, research compliance, privacy laws, and other local, state, and federal laws relevant to higher education.
