Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant - Probate and Estate Planning
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinating administrative and legal practice tasks and projects for attorneys
- Managing calendars and coordinating meetings, appointments, deadlines, tasks, and conference calls
- Preparing new client intake materials and opening new client matters
- Handling billing activities
- Engaging in high volume client interaction by phone, email, and in person
- Preparing, editing, proofreading, and assembling legal documents and correspondence
- Processing business, agency, and court forms
- Notarizing and/or witnessing documents as needed
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 2 years legal administrative experience required
- Probate & Estate Planning experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and PDF creation
- Excellent grammar, proofreading, and communication skills
- Knowledge of court and agency processes and procedures
- Exceptional client service, discretion, and judgment to ensure client confidentiality
- Self-motivated with the ability to be flexible and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented
