Lien Negotiator/Medical Records Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble, organize, and itemize client medical bills.
- Request medical summaries, illustrations, and treatment plans.
- Negotiate Medpay reimbursement claims/waivers as well as sub-out attorney liens.
- Draft Lien Reduction acceptance letters.
- Identify liens from emergency medical treatment.
- Correspond with clients and creditors over the phone and through email.
- Perform other office tasks as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Information:
- Possess a working knowledge of personal injury lien negotiation.
- Experience working with medical bills and records.
- Strong working knowledge of various governmental healthcare provider policies and procedures for lien negotiation and resolution, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, Medicaid, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of industry practices and procedures in lien negotiation and resolution with health insurance providers, private healthcare providers, and hospital/ER/EMS providers generally.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Personal Injury law firm preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (., Outlook, Word, Excel) and other applications and/or systems.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrates a sense of urgency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.
Salary Information:
$60,000 - $75,000 per year

This is not a remote or hybrid position; candidates must be willing and able to work at the downtown Los Angeles or Riverside office.
