The Queens County District Attorney is seeking an experienced and highly qualified individual for the position of Manager, Domestic Violence Bureau. The selected candidate will oversee a team of attorneys, investigators, and analysts to develop and implement a proactive pre-arrest case enhancement program for high-risk domestic violence cases. This program will prioritize victim safety and enhance the prosecution of offenders before they are apprehended.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of a pre-arrest enhancement program for domestic violence cases
- Supervise and manage a team of attorneys, investigators, and analysts
- Analyze data and present briefings to the District Attorney
- Forge and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement agencies and community partners
- Train attorneys in best practices and enhance job performance
- Oversee pre-arrest investigations and enhancement of domestic violence cases
- Interact with partner agencies to address high-risk domestic violence cases
- Interface with other agencies involved in domestic violence cases
- Qualifications: . degree, active member of the New York State bar with 9+ years . experience
- Extensive experience working with victims of domestic violence and conducting trauma-informed forensic interviews
- Substantial investigatory and felony jury trial experience, including domestic violence cases
- Prior experience interacting with agencies involved in domestic violence cases
- Significant experience prosecuting domestic violence cases using evidence-based techniques
- Thorough understanding of forfeiture by wrongdoing doctrine and its application to domestic violence cases
- Prior management experience preferred
- Excellent organization and communication skills
