Job Title: Assistant General Counsel, Employment - Legal

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day and strategic advice on global employment law matters including recruiting, hiring, terminations, employment and separation documentation, Employers of Record (EORs), Professional Employment Organizations (PEOs), compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, performance management, restrictive covenants, employee classifications, employee litigation, organizational restructures, and M&A integrations.
- Offer timely, business-focused advice and counseling to support global workforce strategies and policies in compliance with evolving global laws and regulations.
- Build trusted and inclusive partnerships with the People team, providing clear insights to address concerns and achieve best outcomes.
- Review, interpret, and draft company policies and procedures.
- Monitor legislation, regulations, case law, and government enforcement activities related to employment law, providing proactive, strategic advice to relevant Legal, People, and business partners.
- Help develop a robust corporate compliance program, including enhancing and maintaining employment policies, processes, and training programs with scalable frameworks.
- Conduct legal research on complex employment law issues.
- Collaborate to prioritize business objectives and support overall company success.
- Manage outside counsel efficiently.
- Support other projects as needed.

Education and Experience Information:
- At least 10 years of relevant employment law experience advising on complex, global workforce issues and best practices.
- Substantial in-house experience at a global tech and/or publicly-traded company, with relevant prior experience from a top law firm.
- Deep subject matter expertise in employment law and experience providing support on a global scale.
- Ability to be the primary in-house attorney on certain employment law projects, handling multiple matters simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication with a wide variety of people, and ability to collaborate with diverse business groups and build interdepartmental relationships at all levels, including senior-level executives and Board of Directors.
- Advanced problem-solving skills, excellent drafting, written, verbal communication, project management, legal interpretation, and research skills.
- Commitment to professional conduct, excellence, and meticulous attention to detail, sometimes under time pressure.
- Ability to balance legal risk mitigation against key business objectives and risks.

Salary Information:
- The base pay for this position ranges from $230,000-$260,000. Pay is based on factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
