Job Title: Senior Manager, Construction Claims
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Executive Claims Examiners handling high exposure construction claims, including bodily injury, property damage, and construction defect.
- Report to a Director in the Casualty Construction group and convey the organization’s objectives and priorities to the staff.
- Monitor and direct new loss assignments for construction claims.
- Confirm coverage of claims by reviewing policies and documents submitted in support of claims.
- Review and approve correspondence and reports, including coverage position letters and Large Loss Reports.
- Review and approve reserves and settlements beyond the authority of the handling specialist.
- Assess and evaluate individual examiner and team performance, provide feedback, and address training needs.
- Make recommendations concerning reserve changes to Director or Senior Management.
- Participate in review and discussion of large loss activity in the construction book with stakeholders (Underwriting, Actuarial, Executive Management).
- Ensure that the team adheres to Fair Claims Practices regulations and internal performance objectives.
- Prepare and distribute reports by collecting and summarizing information.
- Assist in preparation of budgets, evaluation of expenses, and assessment of resource needs.
- Foster and encourage strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Underwriting, Actuarial).
- Assist in identifying industry and coverage trends.
- Promote and enhance strong relationships with customers and channel partners.
- Participate in special projects as requested.
- Travel to other claim offices, mediations, trials, and conferences as required.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; JD, advanced degree, or focused technical degree preferred.
- Must have or be eligible to receive a claims adjuster license.
- Insurance certifications or affiliation with an industry group preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of claims handling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in managing claims examiners at the Senior Claims Examiner and/or Executive Claims Examiner level is required.

Salary Information:
- The base salary for the position is $110,500 - $184,100 with a 30% bonus potential.
- The salary offered will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.
Additional Information:
- The company offers hybrid working schedules of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
