Job Title: Social Security Disability Paralegal/Case Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising attorney with clients throughout the Social Security Disability claims process, from filing the initial application to developing the case for hearing.
- Field incoming phone calls from current and prospective clients.
- Schedule appointments for new clients.
- Act as the point of contact for social security clients.
- Educate clients on the application and appeals process.
- Keep clients updated on the status of their cases.
- Communicate with the Social Security Administration to facilitate the processing of disability claims.
- Send, receive, and follow up on paperwork sent to the Social Security Administration and clients.
- Obtain client medical records from medical providers to submit to the Social Security Administration.
- Use Case Management Software to perform all tasks and document all actions taken in a case.
Education and Experience Information:
- Experience in handling Social Security Disability claims is necessary.
- The position requires qualities such as integrity, an unrelenting drive to obtain results, a deep desire to help others, and a commitment to operational efficiency and excellence.
- The candidate should demonstrate stability and confidence under pressure when working with clients experiencing financial and medical hardship.
