Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness.
- Handle communication with clients, witnesses, etc.
- Administratively support trials.
- Manage client files, billing information, and summarize documents.
- Conduct investigations and statistical/documentary research.
- Locate and develop case-relevant information.
- Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Maintain contact lists.
- Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars.
Education and Experience Information:
- Prefer working experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary, will consider general office experience.
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system.
- Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office.
- Computer literacy.
- Proficiency in English.
- Working knowledge of case management software.
- Excellent secretarial and organizational skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
- Legal Assistant certification and/or degree is preferred.
Salary Information:
- Pay: - per hour.
Additional Information:
- Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday.
- Ability to Commute: Required to be able to commute to Birmingham, MI.
- Ability to Relocate: Must relocate to Birmingham, MI before starting work.
