Job Title: Sr. Director, AGC Privacy Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and counseling on a wide range of privacy and related issues in areas such as patient support programs, market research, marketing campaigns, digital advertising, data analytics, and AI.
- Strategically assess potential privacy risks on new projects, including counseling on appropriate controls.
- Support the operationalization of compliance with privacy laws globally.
- Engage in privacy governance, including support of governance bodies, and the upkeep and development of policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
- Lead and manage Privacy Office resources, including external counsel, consultants, and certain internal resources.
- Educate business clients through training and awareness programs.
- Collaborate with the Government Affairs division on opportunities to influence legislation.

Education and Experience Information:
- Must have a JD and be licensed to practice law in New York (or eligible for licensure as a registered in-house counsel).
- At least 10 years of legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house, with at least 5 years of experience in privacy.
- Strongly prefer experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related life science industries.

Salary Information:
- The salary range for positions is $238, - $397, annually. Salaries for positions based in Japan and/or Canada will be in accordance with local laws and currency.

Additional Information:
This role requires on-site presence at the company's HQ Campus four days a week and is not available as a fully remote or hybrid role. The candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge of local and global privacy laws, particularly as they apply to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, and a deep understanding of privacy risks associated with ad tech and emerging technologies. The role requires excellent relationship-building skills, the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the workforce, and exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills. The candidate should have a high level of business acumen, influencing skills, and the ability to drive change.
