Communications Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will provide administrative support to attorneys including telephone coverage (if applicable) maintaining attorney's calendar, deadlines and entering attorney's daily time entries. Provide word processing/editing of letters, briefs, client memoranda, and other legal documents. Assist attorneys with cite checking, proofreading and assembly of various filings. Assist with research and drafting of client advisories, monthly trackers and other communications industry materials. Collaborate and assist the communication practice development team with research for attorneys speaking engagements, client presentations, webinars and blog posts as needed. Open new client/matter client cases into the database. Client Billing: Prepare draft bills to clients; review and edit pre-bills in collaboration with designated billing coordinator. Maintain attorneys/client virtual chron files and file indexes according to client/matter numbers as applicable. Coordinate and schedule meetings and other appointments via Outlook and set-up meetings/calls/videoconferences via LoopUp and Zoom as applicable. Process expense reports and check requests via Chrome River. Process any packages and mailings in coordination with attorneys and Office Services. Participate in monthly practice group meetings and virtual events. Assist attorneys with communications group/regulatory FCC filings and various research projects. Back-up to other practice group legal administrative assistants as needed. College graduate with at least 2 years of work experience as a legal administrative assistant or paralegal in a law firm. Familiarity with Federal Communications Commission ECFS - Electronic Comment Filing System a plus. Experience with Cite Checking a plus. Proficiency in MS Office 2010 and various legal online applications and software required.
