Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in a multi-day orientation with the entire Summer Associate Program leadership team to meet colleagues and engage in initial legal training sessions.
- Work on a variety of client projects, drafting memos, agreements, and briefs to be reviewed by clients and judges.
- Attend client meetings, closings, court conferences, depositions, and trials to gain real-world legal experience.
- Engage in pro bono work, handling projects that reflect the firm's commitment to community service.
- Participate in legal skills workshops to refine legal writing and drafting abilities, focusing on essential skills such as contract drafting and negotiation, legal and research memoranda, bluebooking, and marketing writing skills.
- Receive evaluations and feedback on assignments from assigning attorneys, including mid-summer and final evaluations that mirror the associate evaluation process.
- Engage in ongoing dialogue about writing skills with an assigned writing advisor, typically a partner at the firm, who will provide feedback on written work.
