**H2: Seeking Highly Motivated Individual with Legal Experience**

The State Personnel System, an E-Verify employer, is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Attorney in the Office of the General Counsel in Florida. The selected candidate will work in the Division of Drugs, Devices, and Cosmetics Legal Unit and will be responsible for enforcing chapter 499, Florida Statutes, to prevent fraud, adulteration, misbranding, or false advertising in the preparation, manufacture, repackaging, or distribution of medical drugs, devices, and cosmetics in the State of Florida.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Analyze violations of statutes or administrative rules for regulated professions/occupations/businesses
- Draft legal documents such as administrative complaints, letters of guidance, dismissal orders, and more
- Conduct legal research and participate in settlement negotiations
- Prosecute administrative complaints at the Division of Administrative Hearings or before the Department's designated hearing officer or board
- Provide legal advice on Department matters to management, other divisions, and general staff
- Respond to or review responses to public records requests

**Experience and Qualifications:**

- Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association
- Current member of The Florida Bar or passing the Florida Bar exam within one year of appointment
- Valid driver's license

**Preferred:**

- Experience in business and administrative law
- Excellent writing skills and ability to build strong relationships
- Ability to manage multiple complex cases and prioritize work
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to travel

**Salary and Benefits:**

- Biweekly salary of $2,400
