As a Legal Assistant, you will assist lawyers and other legal professionals in our firm's practice of representing financial institutions in bankruptcy, foreclosure, residential real estate, and mortgage law. Your responsibilities will include organizing and tracking case files, drafting legal documents, proofreading for accuracy, and communicating with clients. This position requires a precise attention to detail, the ability to work under strict deadlines, and the capacity to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in the representation of clients in judicial foreclosure proceedings
- Organize and track case files assigned
- Draft legal documents including pleadings and motions
- Prepare correspondence
- Proofread legal forms and documents for accuracy
- Communicate with clients verbally or via third party systems
- Organize, analyze, and cross-check/validate information
- Ensure timely and accurate billing of work completed
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Paralegal certificate a plus, but not required
- Thorough knowledge of legal principles, research techniques, and terminology
- In-depth knowledge of government regulations
- Relevant computer knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent planning and organizing skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
