Job Title:
Head of Public Policy, Safety & Accessibility
Job Responsibilities:
- Business Acumen: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's business and product priorities, specifically focusing on safety, identity, and accessibility. Identify opportunities, risks, and strategic investments to strengthen the company's reputation and policy goals.
- Campaigns & Collateral: Collaborate with research teams, safety experts, and third parties to swiftly develop politically-relevant, evidence-based deliverables that creatively tell the company's safety and accessibility story.
- Thought Leadership: Monitor public discourse on safety and accessibility issues pertinent to the company. Create and amplify compelling narratives to support Public Policy and Communications teams in building confidence in the company's products and dispelling misconceptions.
- Regulatory & Crisis Response: Develop global advocacy strategies to preserve the business's ability to implement safety controls and accessibility features. Support local teams in adapting and executing these strategies. Assist cross-functional teams in responding to safety incidents as needed.
- Policy Counsel: Provide insights on political and regulatory trends to inform the company's product roadmap and design politically-aware go-to-market strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with aligned organizations and thought leaders. Ensure the company is represented in important discussions to advance its agenda. Manage the Safety Advisory Board.
- Team Management: Lead and support a team of experts in safety and accessibility, fostering collaboration, performance, and professional growth.
Education and Experience Information:
- Basic Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in public policy, advocacy, or government.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strategic vision for public policy impact with a deep understanding of business priorities, product roadmaps, and regulatory landscape.
- Proven executor with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
- Experience in building evidence-based narratives that transform complex data into persuasive, accessible storytelling.
- Proven relationship-building skills with think tanks, non-profits, academia, and policy stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating across Public Policy, Communications, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and Product teams to align strategies and amplify narratives.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable providing strategic policy counsel in ambiguous situations, leveraging a deep understanding of political and regulatory dynamics relevant to the company.
- Demonstrated success in policy analysis or regulatory advocacy.
- Advanced degree (., JD, MPP, MBA).
- Prior management experience.
Salary Information:
- For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range is USD $186,000 per year - USD $207,000 per year.
- For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range is USD $186,000 per year - USD $207,000 per year.
- For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range is USD $186,000 per year - USD $207,000 per year.
- For all US locations, eligibility to participate in the company's bonus program, and potential equity award & other types of compensation. Access to various benefits is also available, with more details provided on the company's careers website.
