Job Title: Conflicts Counsel
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze and resolve potential conflicts related to new business intake and incoming lateral attorneys.
- Train, supervise, and support conflicts analysts to ensure effective conflict resolution processes.
- Assist attorneys in drafting and negotiating conflict waivers with clients of the law firm.
- Work with the Director of Legal Talent Management to facilitate conflicts clearance for incoming lateral attorneys.
- Draft memos establishing ethical screens and monitor compliance to ensure adherence to ethical standards.
- Determine when conflict issues should be escalated for review by the Director or General Counsel.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current laws and rules regarding conflicts of interest in each jurisdiction where the law firm operates, ensuring consistent conflicts and ethics practices across all offices.
- Provide support in additional areas as deemed appropriate by the Director and General Counsel.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a well-regarded law school is required, along with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Admission to a bar in a jurisdiction where the law firm has an office in the . is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of combined experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm or equivalent, along with recent law firm compliance experience in a multi-location and multi-office organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the capability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workloads.
- Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language and to analyze and process complex material.

- The salary range is part of the total compensation package, which includes annual discretionary bonuses based on performance and profit-sharing contributions, subject to eligibility and firm profitability.
