About the Job
Law firm focuses on estate planning, trust administration, probate, conservatorships, and inheritance litigation. They are currently seeking a paralegal to join and expand their team.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely under the direct supervision of the partners. The responsibilities include:
- Data entry, document drafting, and merging
- Participating in client meetings and conducting client intake interviews
- Performing case research and handling various administrative tasks
- Filing and serving court documents, managing cases, and maintaining calendars
- Assisting with discovery and preparing for trial
Familiarity with California Rules of Court and the Local Rules of Contra Costa and Alameda counties is required. Experience with WordPerfect and Abacus is a plus, but not mandatory.
Education and Experience Information
A minimum of two years of paralegal experience is required for this position; however, more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. While prior experience in estate planning, trust administration, probate, or litigation is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and possess strong problem-solving abilities. Additionally, candidates must hold or be able to obtain a notary public commission. A paralegal certificate is required for this position.
Salary Information
The law firm offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Compensation is – per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
