Job Title: Legal Secretary/Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls to assist in the smooth operation of the legal practice.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings, adhering to established guidelines.
- Manage case files and maintain organized document management to support legal proceedings.
- Conduct legal research to assist attorneys in case preparation and strategy development.
- Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings while effectively managing attorney calendars.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and other parties as necessary to facilitate case progress.
- Assist in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing exhibits and evidence.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Education and Experience Information:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in document management systems such as Excel, Word Document, Clio, and Google Calendar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Clio software, summary proceedings, and drafting basic pleadings is preferred.
- Being bilingual is considered a bonus.
Salary Information:
