Job Title: Associate Attorney - General Liability
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
- Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
- Fulfill an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.
- Regularly represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions.
- Draft and respond to discovery requests.
- Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
- Prepare for and attend trials.
- Some travel may be required.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
- Admission to practice in the state of New York is required; admission in Connecticut is a plus but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in General Liability is required, with Insurance Defense Litigation experience considered a plus.
- Candidates must possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid research abilities and effective written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Candidates should have a strong work ethic, the ability to self-manage, and work well in a team environment.
- Must be responsive to email and phone inquiries promptly.
- Excellent client skills and telephone manner are required.
Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $130,000.
