AVP, Product Development Attorney, Liability - Jersey City, NJ, New York, NY, St. Paul, MN, Hartford, CT
We are currently seeking an AVP of Product Development to join our team at Arch Insurance Group. In this role, you will work closely with our Product Development team within Corporate Underwriting to support all Business Units writing Property, GL, Auto and Umbrella/Excess lines of business. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
• Draft and review policy language, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
• Provide legal advice and expertise on Commercial General Liability, Commercial Umbrella/Excess Liability, and Commercial Auto coverage.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to prepare form-related materials for filing with state Departments of Insurance.
• Monitor case law, regulatory changes, and market impact on forms language for assigned lines of business.
Requirements:
• 5-10 years of experience in drafting commercial insurance contracts.
• Strong understanding of above insurance coverages and marketplace.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Thorough understanding of insurance contract language and legal precedent.
• Ability to manage projects with minimal oversight.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• . degree and member of a state bar in good standing.
Salary Information:
• For individuals working in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, NJ, New York State, and/or Washington State, the base salary range is $130,000 - $180,000 per year.
• Total compensation will take into account factors such as location, role responsibilities, qualifications, and business needs.
