Job Title: Employee Benefits Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The Employee Benefits Associate will be part of the Employee Benefits practice group at the law firm. The responsibilities include working on matters related to ERISA and employee benefits. The role involves handling qualified plans, multiemployer pension plans, health and welfare plans, and ensuring ACA compliance. Additionally, the candidate will engage in M&A and/or restructuring activities within the employee benefits practice area. The position may also require involvement in related fields such as tax, labor/benefits-related advising, consulting, or accounting. The practice group emphasizes a collegial work environment and provides opportunities to develop expertise in ERISA and employee benefits.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should possess 1-4 years of experience specifically with ERISA and employee benefits. Experience in M&A and/or restructuring within the employee benefits area is highly desirable. Candidates with backgrounds in related areas such as tax, labor/benefits-related advising, consulting, or accounting will also be considered. Outstanding credentials in the legal field are required for this position.
Salary Information:
The law firm offers a competitive salary structure complemented by a comprehensive benefits package for all employees and attorneys. Compensation is determined based on the role's responsibilities, the candidate's experience and education, and is aligned with internal pay equity within the law firm. The hiring salary range for the Employee Benefits Associate position is between $225,000 and $310,000. However, these figures do not represent the full compensation range for the position.
