Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant - Litigation
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate legal communications
- Manage calendars, including trial dates, hearing dates, depositions, etc.
- Schedule client meetings, depositions, and hearings, handling logistical needs
- Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Prepare hearing, trial, and deposition notebooks and exhibits
- Assist with electronic filing of pleadings, exhibits, and other legal documents
- Maintain legal and confidential files and dockets in strict confidence
- Perform related or similar duties as required or assigned
Education and Experience Information:
- Knowledge of the lifecycle of a lawsuit and legal terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with iManage and Aderant is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- High degree of professionalism
- Ability to draft correspondences and pleadings
- Ability to accurately file documents, maintain a calendar of depositions, and prepare document productions (with Bates numbers)
- Superior technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe
- A self-starter attitude with attention to detail and accuracy of work product
