Job Responsibilities:
As a Summer Associate at the law firm, you will engage in various legal tasks to gain practical experience in family law. Your responsibilities will include:

- Drafting and analyzing legal documents related to active family law matters.
- Conducting legal research and assisting in the preparation of trial materials.
- Attending court proceedings alongside experienced attorneys.
- Participating in client meetings to gain insight into case strategy.
- Working closely with a Litigation Partner to develop a foundational understanding of family law practice.
- Engaging in firm-sponsored networking and social events.
- Supporting matters in the Bethesda and Frederick, MD offices, which will require occasional commuting to these locations.
- Performing other tasks as needed to help effectively run the business.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:

- Be a current 2L student (2027 graduate) in good standing at an accredited law school.
- Demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in family law.
- Maintain a GPA of or higher.
- Have the ability to relocate or reside in the office location assigned for the duration of the program.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and the most current law school transcript to be considered for the summer associate program.

Salary Information:
This is a paid internship with a rate of $35 per hour. The role does not qualify for additional rewards, such as merit increases and bonuses, nor is it eligible for the full-time benefits package.
