Workers' Compensation Paralegal The candidate will conduct research on relevant laws, regulations and articles. Organize and maintain documents in the physical file and in the firm's document Management software. Gather, maintain current and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation. Write reports to help attorneys prepare for trial. Obtain affidavits and other formal documents/statements that may be used as evidence in court. Assist lawyers during trials by handling exhibits, taking notes or reviewing trial transcripts. File exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents (after lawyer has reviewed and approved) with the court or opposing council. Reach out to clients, witnesses, lawyers and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, or depositions. Associate's or higher degree is required.
