Job Title: Remote Family Law Paralegal (Part-time to Full-time)
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor litigation calendars, deadlines, and case tasks.
- Draft pleadings, declarations, subpoenas, discovery, and correspondence.
- Prepare and format legal documents for e-filing specifically in Riverside and San Diego County courts.
- Guide clients in completing disclosures and collect necessary information for declarations and discovery responses.
- Track case progress and maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure they are informed and engaged in their case.
- Coordinate with the on-site paralegal to ensure seamless file management and high-quality client service.
- Communicate professionally with courts, counsel, and clients through email and phone to ensure clarity and efficiency in correspondence.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on experience as a paralegal specializing in California family law is required.
- Candidates may reside outside of California, but must possess a working knowledge of California courts and practices, particularly in Riverside and San Diego Counties.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this position.
- A California Paralegal Certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary Information:
- Compensation ranges from to per hour, depending on experience.
- The median salary for the role is approximately per hour.
- The position is designed for a flexible schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Benefits include the ability to work from home, with a schedule from Monday to Friday.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be with a reliable and up-to-date computer setup, including dual monitors, a webcam, and printer/scanner, along with high-speed internet.
- Proficiency in software such as Clio, Adobe, Box, Dropbox, Clio Draft (LawYaw), Essential Forms, and Xspouse is preferred.
- The candidate should be detail-oriented with strong self-management and confidentiality practices.
- A positive, responsive, no-drama problem solver who thrives in a high-performance team environment is ideal.
- The position is not open to individuals currently in law school or planning to attend law school.
