The Labor & Employment Junior Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the labor and employment practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing employment counseling to clients, assisting them with understanding and complying with employment laws and regulations.
- Handling single-plaintiff litigation, which involves representing either the plaintiff or the defendant in cases involving employment disputes.
- Engaging in restrictive covenant litigation, dealing with cases involving non-compete clauses and other agreements that limit a former employee's ability to work in similar industries or roles.
- Participating in FINRA and other arbitrations, which require representing clients in arbitration processes related to employment disputes.
- Assisting in class and collective action litigation, which involves representing groups of employees or employers in large-scale employment lawsuits.
- Conducting investigations related to employment issues to gather facts and evidence for cases.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must have 1-3 years of experience working in a large law firm environment.
- The candidate should possess excellent academic credentials, showcasing a strong educational background.
- Writing skills are crucial, as the role demands drafting legal documents and communications effectively.
- Experience in employment law or general litigation is essential.
- Meaningful experience in employment counseling, single-plaintiff litigation, restrictive covenant litigation, FINRA and other arbitrations, class/collective action litigation, and investigations is ideal.
