Job Title: Legal Assistant – Litigation

Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Assistant in the Litigation Department at the law firm is responsible for providing comprehensive support to attorneys in the litigation process. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting attorneys with case management and preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Drafting and proofreading legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Managing and organizing case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and accessible.
- Coordinating with court personnel and clients to schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions.
- Conducting legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
- Preparing and maintaining attorney calendars and schedules.
- Handling administrative tasks such as correspondence, filing, and data entry.
- Supporting attorneys in maintaining compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Legal Assistant position should have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of an associate degree or equivalent experience in legal studies or a related field.
- Prior experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role, particularly in litigation, is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
