Job Title: Multifamily Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Multifamily Paralegal is responsible for conducting title and survey reviews and analyses specifically for commercial real estate loans within the multifamily housing industry. The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough title and survey review and analysis for commercial real estate loans, including those involving Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of commercial real estate lending guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy in loan processing.
- Perform various paralegal duties as directed by the group leader and other attorneys within the department.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to loan closing deadlines.
- Perform all assignments in strict compliance with the ethical guidelines governing the practice of law.
- Maintain the firm’s official files using the document management system.
- Track and record client-billable time to meet minimum billable hour requirements.
- Maintain and prioritize daily work assignments and communicate any inability to meet daily responsibilities.
- Receive and follow complex instructions effectively.
- Utilize sound judgment and discretion in all tasks.
- Provide quality client service to both internal and external clients in a professional manner, building strong relationships.
- Daily tracking and recording of both billable and nonbillable work.

- Strong teamwork skills within and across the Multifamily Housing practice group to facilitate efficient legal service delivery.

- Demonstrate initiative in completing routine assignments with minimal supervision.
- Availability to work overtime when necessary or requested.
- Consistently exhibit a high degree of professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or any combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, specifically title and survey review and analysis, at either a law firm or title company.
- Experience in commercial title and survey, specifically American Land Title Association, ALTA/NSPS.
- Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac experience is preferred.
Salary Information:
Compensation for the Multifamily Paralegal position is dependent on several factors, including position, location, education, training, and/or experience. The hiring salary range is between $120, and $140,.
