Job Title: Experienced Lien Negotiator - Personal Injury
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Experienced Lien Negotiator in the personal injury department of the law firm is to negotiate and reduce existing medical bills and liens. The candidate will work extensively with health providers, private health insurance carriers, and governmental entities such as Medi-Cal, Medicare, and the VA. Key duties include:
- Negotiating and reducing liens with providers and third-party payers once an injured party’s claim is resolved.
- Preparing client disbursement agreements.
- Compiling and tabulating all associated client costs, medical bills, and fees.
- Verifying the existence of all outstanding liens and costs.
- Preparing a disbursement spreadsheet that shows a breakdown of attorney’s fees and costs, as well as the client’s medical bills and total recovery.
- Preparing checks for the payment of bills.
