Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal is tasked with supporting attorneys in managing ongoing cases and preparing for trials when necessary. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing secretarial, clerical, and data entry duties.
- Maintaining the attorney's calendar and scheduling depositions, pre-depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings.
- Managing documents using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- E-filing legal documents in Georgia’s E-Portal System.
- Assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences.
- Drafting legal court documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
- Sending correspondence to parties/non-parties via email, regular mail, or certified mail.
- Communicating with clients.
- Setting up Court Calls or Zoom for hearings.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- The position requires full-time availability from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience is required.
- Personal injury experience is highly preferred.
- Being bilingual and fluent in Spanish is required.
- Trial experience is preferred.
- Experience with e-filing in both state and federal courts is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- The candidate must possess excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Effective and efficient communication with clients and co-workers is essential.
- The role requires teamwork orientation.
