Job Responsibilities:
The Case Manager at the law firm plays a critical role in managing and coordinating medical treatment for clients who have suffered personal injuries. The primary responsibilities include:
- Independently managing treatment in personal injury cases.
- Collaborating with attorneys, clients, and insurance adjusters to facilitate case progress.
- Communicating with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties to gather necessary medical information.
- Monitoring and tracking clients' medical treatment progress and appointments, coordinating and scheduling as necessary.
- Reviewing and organizing medical records, bills, and other relevant documentation.
- Maintaining detailed case management records and conducting legal research as needed.
- Staying updated on changes in medical treatment protocols, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices.
- Providing excellent customer service to all clients and partners.
Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Case Manager position should have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm with personal injury experience or in an injury-related field such as an emergency medical technician (EMT), nurse practitioner, or insurance adjuster.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and billing practices.
- Proficient administrative skills and the ability to use legal case management software and other relevant tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various parties.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ethical and professional conduct with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
