Responsibilities:
- Draft and manage legal documents such as petitions, motions, and orders
- Maintain accuracy and organization of case-related material for court presentation
- Manage a calendaring system and statutory case deadlines
- Coordinate mediations and settlement negotiations with opposing parties
- Prepare for trials, including witness coordination and evidence management
- Assist with docket days and provide information to the general public on legal issues
- Perform clerical duties and maintain filing systems
- Conduct legal research as needed
- Attend and complete TLETS training
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and certificate in Paralegal Studies or related education/experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Class C driver's license
- Paralegal certificate or related education/experience preferred

Description:
- Under general supervision, provide legal research and document management for the Civil Division
- Affect the accuracy, reliability, and acceptability of further processes and services
- Manage caseload from intake to closing with accuracy
- Draft and respond to various legal documents
- Manage complex civil discovery deadlines
- Coordinate with court coordinators, caseworkers, and attorneys for hearings and trials
- Review redacted files for compliance with Texas statutes
- Assist with docket days and maintain evidence and records
- Perform general clerical duties and assist the public with legal questions
- Conduct legal research on a variety of issues
- Maintain and track data related to felony and misdemeanor bonds
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Certificate in Paralegal Studies or equivalent preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Attend and complete TLETS training
