Job Title: Lateral Intake Coordinator (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
The Lateral Intake Coordinator is responsible for assisting lateral partners with efficiently opening their portable work. The role involves collaboration with the lateral partner and various departments within the law firm to ensure that incoming lateral partner's clients are cleared, opened, and that data is organized correctly. The coordinator supports lateral partners during their onboarding process and subsequently works with the partner's assigned Practice Assistant for ongoing support after the partner's clients are set up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inputting key data into Intapp Intake’s request form to open clients and matters for lateral attorneys. Understanding key areas where data may get stuck and helping to problem solve while continuing to push forward the process.
- Preparing draft engagement letters for incoming lateral partners by taking the portable matters chart provided by the Lateral Conflicts team. Reviewing the drafts with the lateral partner once they have started and following up with them on missing data to ensure that clients get opened expeditiously.
- Assisting with data intake to ensure various workflow steps are advancing, including ensuring matter-opening process is followed and interfacing with Information Governance team for data movement to appropriate workspaces/access. Following up with various groups as necessary.
- Updating client statuses in Integration Plans while opening clients, sending out engagement letters, etc.
- Ensuring a smooth hand-off to assigned Practice Assistant for ongoing support after portable clients have been successfully opened.
- Regularly interfacing and communicating with the lateral partner, the Conflicts Team, the Business Intake team, the Client Contracts team, the Lateral Conflicts team, the Information Governance team, and the Lateral Integration team.
- Tracking, analyzing, and providing status updates related to opening new clients/matters and getting data set up.
- Performing special projects and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- A strong understanding of client intake processes and data management is essential.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary Information:
