Job summary:
- Amazon is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support their Amazon Health Services division.
- The role involves providing legal counsel and transaction support for strategic and commercial deals, including insurance reimbursement arrangements.
- The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar, as well as 5+ years of legal experience.
- Experience in healthcare regulations and transactions is preferred, along with a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work.
- The base salary for this position ranges from $138,500/year to $229,000/year, depending on geographic market and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and transaction support for strategic and commercial deals for Amazon Health Services, including insurance reimbursement arrangements.
- Coordinate and consult with Legal colleagues to provide comprehensive legal advice to clients.
- Advise and educate clients on legal issues related to various transactions, including regulatory obligations and limitations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver timely and pragmatic solutions-oriented advice.
- Prioritize being responsive to clients and colleagues and have a predisposition to move forward quickly.
- Embrace supporting diverse client needs in an adaptable and situationally appropriate manner.

Minimum qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
- 5+ years of legal experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and transactions, including fraud waste and abuse laws, telehealth regulations, and reimbursement arrangements.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work.
- Strong legal fundamentals, with experience in drafting and negotiating large complex transactions and partnership agreements.
- Healthcare background is a plus.
Salary information:
- The base salary for this position ranges from $138,500/year in the lowest geographic market to $229,000/year in the highest geographic market.
- Pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and is reflective of the cost of labor in various US geographic markets.
- In addition to base pay, Amazon offers other forms of compensation such as equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
