Senior Counsel, Employment Law and Benefits (hybrid-Chicagoland)
As Senior Counsel, Employment Law and Benefits, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization remains compliant with employment and benefits laws while also achieving our business goals. You will be responsible for providing legal advice and counseling on a variety of employment law and benefits issues, as well as managing litigation and supporting other legal matters related to employment and benefits. This is a highly complex and fast-paced role in a rapidly changing environment, and we are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in employment law and benefits, both in private practice and as in-house counsel for companies with a multistate reach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage your knowledge of employment law and benefits to provide counsel and guidance to the organization.
- Review and prepare legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with business units to mitigate risk and achieve corporate objectives.
- Conduct legal research, manage outside counsel, and draft legal documents.
- Stay current on legal and business trends that may impact the organization.

Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- At least 5 years of post-bar attorney experience.
- Licensure to practice law in at least one state.
- Active Illinois bar membership or membership in good standing in another . jurisdiction.
- Strong time management skills and experience with financial decision-making and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Employment Law and Benefits.
