Job Title: Family Law Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents related to family law cases, including divorce petitions, custody agreements, and property settlements.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring that all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
- Conduct legal research on family law issues, including tribal law regulations, estate planning, and workers compensation law as needed.
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.
- Prepare trial binders and assist attorneys during court proceedings as required.
- Manage deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents with the court.
Education and Experience Information:
- Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a law office, focusing on family law.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Knowledge of litigation processes and familiarity with family law terminology.
- Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all legal documents.
- Understanding of tribal law regulations is a plus.
- Proficient in using legal research tools and software applications relevant to the field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Information:
- Pay: $40, - $60, per year
- Base pay range: The minimum salary is $40K and the max salary is $60K.
- $40K – $60K/yr (Employer est.)
