Job Title: Tax Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Associate will be part of the Tax and Benefits Group and will engage in substantial projects alongside a successful team. The role involves providing day-to-day counsel to the law firm's clients on state and federal income tax matters, which includes structuring sophisticated transactions across various industry sectors. The associate will have access to a full-service bi-coastal platform to cultivate and expand their business book. Responsibilities also include working with attorneys and staff dedicated to excellent client service, participating in pro bono and public service matters, and contributing to the law firm's efforts in litigating significant pro bono cases that protect the rights of vulnerable individuals in society.
The role demands a client-service approach, exceptional communication skills, and enthusiasm for working with and building a diverse team. There are opportunities for management and leadership for candidates who are interested. The position calls for managing significant individual responsibilities and contributing to a collegial office environment while handling national-level matters.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must possess a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and a license to practice law. An . in Tax is also required. Applicants should have 3 or more years of experience in income tax. Strong academic credentials, excellent analytical and writing skills are essential for this role.
Salary Information:
The annualized salary range for the Tax Associate position is $155,000 to $180,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
