Job Title: Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Formatting, proof-reading, filing, and e-filing documents with State and Federal Courts.
- Interacting with clients, attorneys, and the courts.
- Collaborating as a team with attorneys and staff.
- Maintaining attorney’s legal calendar, which requires experience in calculating litigation deadlines, knowledge of and ability to find and apply local rules, and experience using ProLaw and Microsoft Outlook.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal secretary.
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
Professional Traits:
- Understanding of legal software and willingness to learn new programs.
- Knowledge of legal procedures regarding document format and layout.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential.
Salary Information:
- Pay ranges from to per hour, commensurate with experience.
- Expected hours are 40 per week.
