Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
The Accounting Specialist position involves managing all administrative tasks associated with billing for litigation, foreclosure, and processing checks. Key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing, updating, entering, and submitting billing entries to clients according to their timelines and requirements.
- Processing incoming funds and communicating with clients and third parties regarding these funds, ensuring timely distribution to clients.
- Handling close instructions from clients, including final billing requests.
- Reviewing final sale funds results, requesting necessary checks for all parties, and sending funds to the required parties.
- Ensuring timely, courteous, and thorough responses to a high volume of email correspondence.
- Developing and maintaining congenial relationships with business associates, borrowers, and lenders.
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients at every level of interaction, including timely status updates and follow-up on outstanding documents and/or services.
- Consistently and accurately updating the law firm’s internal case management system and all lender systems.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Education, Experience & Skills:
- Billing and check processing experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service is essential.
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrowers, lenders, attorneys, other internal employees, and outside parties.
- Must be able to work in a congenial and team-oriented manner.
- Exceptional organizational skills are necessary; the position requires the ability to multi-task and adapt to continual change.
- Ability to read and write at a high level for proofreading and editing purposes.
- High-level proficiency in the MS Office suite is required.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands for this position include frequently sitting, talking, or hearing. Occasionally, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
The work environment is characterized by normal office working conditions, with a quiet noise level.
