Overview:
Lutron Electronics, a worldwide leader in innovative lighting control and shading solutions, is seeking a highly motivated Intellectual Property Attorney to join our IP team at one of our Pennsylvania facilities. In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Director of Intellectual Property and collaborate with our business and engineering leaders to provide a broad range of IP services to the company.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with company engineers to elicit invention disclosures
- Prepare and prosecute US and foreign patent applications
- Manage US and foreign patent counsel
- Assist in branding new products and managing Lutron's worldwide trademark portfolio
- Analyze third-party IP rights
- Work with technical and business leaders to align IP strategies with R&D activities and business goals
- Provide proactive, cost-effective, and efficient IP advice and services
- Continually improve IP processes within the company

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant discipline
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- USPTO Patent Bar registration and state licensure required
- 7+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications
- Experience in both law firm and in-house settings preferred
- Willingness to travel as needed
