Responsibilities:
- Interpret federal and state laws related to mortgage banking and consumer finance products and services
- Advise and assist business units with compliance requirements
- Review and analyze company operations and documentation for compliance
- Develop policies, procedures, and training materials
- Conduct legal research and draft correspondence
- Identify and assess compliance risks and corrective measures
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and membership in good standing in a state bar
- Minimum of four years of legal experience
- Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and confidential information
- Understanding of business goals and collaboration with stakeholders
- Familiarity with research tools such as LexisNexis and AllRegs
- Knowledge of ICE Mortgage Technology products is a plus

- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and occasionally stand and walk
- Use of hands for handling objects and reaching

Job Description:
RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join their Legal and Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of legal experience and a strong working knowledge of federal and state laws related to mortgage banking and consumer finance products and services. This position will report to the company's EVP, General Counsel and will be responsible for interpreting and applying relevant legal and regulatory requirements, advising and assisting business units with compliance, and conducting legal research.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret federal and state laws related to mortgage banking and consumer finance products and services
- Advise and assist business units with both technical and practical application of relevant legal and compliance requirements
- Assist with privacy reviews, fraud investigations, and communication with clients, investors, regulators, and other outside parties
- Identify and assess compliance risks, develop implementation steps, and recommend corrective measures
- Assist in the development of compliant policies, procedures, guidelines, disclosures, and training materials
- Conduct legal research, interact with business and executive leaders, and draft formal and informal correspondence
- Review and analyze company operations and documentation for compliance
- Meet the company's commitment to compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and membership in good standing in a state bar
- Minimum of four years of legal experience
- Strong academic credentials, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong computer skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and confidential information in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Understanding of business goals, processes, and constraints and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
- Relevant experience in litigation, foreclosure, mortgage servicing, or other consumer financial industries preferred
- Ability to work effectively with others at all levels across the organization
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with research tools such as LexisNexis and AllRegs
- Knowledge of ICE Mortgage Technology products is a plus
